Abstract:Objective To investigate the safety and efficacy of percutaneous core biopsy of bone and soft tissue tumors guided by imaging equipment. Methods The clinical data of 145 patients with bone and soft tissue tumors were analyzed retrospectively from September 2014 to September 2016 in the Orthopedic department of Anhui Provincial Cancer Hospital. Patients underwent percutaneous core biopsy guided by C-arm X-ray or CT. The accuracy of the biopsy was determined by using postoperative pathological diagnosis as gold standard. Results One hundred and forty-five patients of this group were completed puncture process, and the puncture success rate was 100% with no serious complications. Seventy-six patients were treated surgically and had accurate pathological diagnosis. The correct rate of core biopsy was 64.5% (49/76), the support rate was 23.7% (18/76), the negative rate was 11.8% (9/76), the total effective rate was 88.2% (67/76).Conclusions Core biopsy of bone and soft tissue tumors is a safe and effective technique.
