Abstract:To summarize the applied anatomy related to the anterior lacrimal recess approach and the clinical application of the approach. The anterior lacrimal recess, alveolar crypt, nasolacrimal duct, anterior ethmoid artery, middle turbinate artery, inferior turbinate artery, interior meatus artery, the pterygopalatine fossa and its contents, the infratemporal fossa and its contents, and the lateral crypts of the sphenoid sinus of the clinical application anatomy were emphatically introduced. Meanwhile, the anterior lacrimal recess approach in the fungal maxillary sinusitis, the maxillary sinus cyst, orbital floor fracture, pterygopalatine fossa tumor, subgingival fossa tumor, and lateral sinus crypt lesion and the effect of corresponding anatomical structure on surgery were described. The study results can provide some references to otolaryngology head and neck surgeons.
