Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between the amygdala and human emotion control. Methods With"amygdala, emotion control" and "杏仁核,情感调节"as key words to search literatures in PubMed and CNKI database from September 1999 to September 2014 and analyze. Results Experimental study on animals shows that the amygdala is a key hub formation and expression of fear, and is the basis of emotion regulation, and possibly through the amygdala to regulate neurotransmitter release emotional effect. The amygdala is a part of the limbic system in human brains, attached to the end of the hippocampus, and between the human brain and various parts forming extensive contacts. In the emotional changes accompanying diseases, the amygdala structure and function changes involved in the regulation of human emotions. The clinical related diseases can be treated by adjusting the amygdala function. Conclusions In-depth understanding of the function of amygdala can provide a reliable theoretical basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of disease.
