Abstract:Objective:To analyze the effect of flumazenil on cognitive function restoration operation under general anesthesia in the elderly patients and to determine whether there is definite clinical significance. Methods:236 ASA Ⅰ~Ⅱ elderly hospitalized patients underwent general anesthesia were randomly divided into two groups: experimental group and control group, with 118 patients in each group . In the experimental group, 118 cases, postoperative intravenous injection of flumazenil, 118 cases in the control group, intravenous injection of saline, cognitive function in patients respectively on preoperative 1(T0) and postoperative 1h(T1), 2h(T2), 6h(T3), 24h(T4) was evaluated and recorded at the recovery time . Simple cognitive function scale was used in the assessment of patients with postoperative cognitive status. Results:The time in the experimental group was significantly shorter than that of the control group, there were statistical differences in two groups (P<0.01) ;The cognitive functions of elderly patients in two groups were lower than preoperation, the experimental group in the T1,T2 the cognitive function was obviously superior to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Recovery of the elderly patients after general anesthesia is slower, easily lead to cognitive decline, flumazenil can partly improve their postoperative cognitive function.
