Abstract:Objective:To investigate the short-term efficacy of the non-thoracoscopic surgical treatment of pectus excavatum in three incisions. Methods:Between Mar. 2008 and Apr. 2012, 68 patients with pectus excavatum were treated with three incisions in bilateral chest wall and Xiphoid.Results:All patients received successful surgery. 5 patients were implanted two bars, the others were implanted one bar. All patients had a satisfying deformity correction. All patients were followed up for 5~52 months, with an average of 16 months. All patients were reviewed 3 months later, the short-term effect was satisfying, and there were no complications such as rejection and displacement. According to the Nuss evaluation standard, the results were good in 63 cases, fine in 5 cases, and the excellent and good rate was 100%. Up to now, 16 patients have removed the bars, with no palindromia.Conclusions:Three-incisoins treatment without thoracoscope is easy and safe to be performed with short-term effect of satisfaction. It deserves to try and promote.
