Abstract:The ankle joint is the most complex joint with the largest weight-bearing. Ankle injury is hotspot in orthopedics research because of high incidence, complicated mechanism and high complication. This article attempts to overall review recent progresses on the treatment of ankle fracture with deltoid ligament injury, posterior malleolus fracture, lateral malleolus fracture, supination-abduction fracture, tibiofibular syndesmosis injury and Pilon fracture. We should constantly learn new concepts and techniques to achieve the best treatment to patients of ankle injury with minimal invasion, simplest therapy and lowest cost.
