Abstract:Objective To summarize the incidence and causes of postoperative fusion device deposition in patients with lumbar degenerative diseases treated by oblique lateral interbody fusion (OLIF).Methods “斜外侧腰椎间融合术 ”“腰椎间融合术”“融合器”“沉降”“并发症”“椎弓根螺钉”“终板损伤”“骨质疏松”“微创融合术” and “oblique lateral interbody fusion,” “interlumbar fusion,” “cage,” “subsidence,” “complications,” “pedicle screw,” “end plate damage,” “osteoporosis,” and “minimally invasive fusion” were used as key words for identifying articles about the application of OLIF in the treatment of spinal disorders and with publication dates before March 2020 in CNKI, Wanfang database, SinoMed, and PubMed. A total of 856 articles were searched, of which 29 were finally included after excluding articles that did not conform to the content, repeated studies, studies that have design defects, and articles without available full texts. Results The incidence of fusion cage settlement after OLIF operation was 4.38%-27.90%. The main reasons for the settlement of the fusion cage are the lack of effective nail and rod system fixation, poor selection of fusion cage type, end plate damage caused by various reasons, and osteoporosis. Conclusions The incidence of postoperative fusion cage settlement is high in OLIF and caused by many factors. Methods for preventing the settlement of fusion cage should be further explored.
