Abstract:The diagnosis and treatment of calf deep vein thrombosis is still controversial in clinical practice, which is the hot spot of recent thrombosis research. Among them, the two types of Chinese translation of calf muscular veins have ambiguous meanings. Through reading the literature, the author found that the use of the concept of “intermuscular vein”has led to some misunderstandings. Therefore, we suggest using the concept of “calf muscle vein” or “calf muscle vein plexus”.
