Abstract:Objective To review the progress in the application of percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic in minimally invasive spine surgery. Methods To search the literatures using the keywords of percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic and spine, minimally invasive in the database of PubMed, CNKI, and CBM from January 2011 to October 2014, and then analyzed and summarized them. Results The traditional open surgery treatment of spinal disease experience, clinical effect is confirmed, but intraoperative trauma is heavy, bleeding too much and postoperative lying on bed for a long time. The drop in spinal stability factors lead to minimally invasive surgery for spinal diseases treatment of current research. Percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic technology treatment of spinal diseases, especially in intervertebral disc herniation, the technology mature, intraoperative safe, less bleeding, quicker recovery of patients, low influence on the stability of the lumbar spine. Conclusions The percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic technology in the minimally invasive spine surgery has little influence on the stability of the spine and curative effect in clinical application.
