Abstract:Objective To investigate the application value of echocardiography in the evaluation of left ventricular diastolic heart failure(DHF). Methods From January 2012 to October 2013, 42 DHF patients were chosen as study groups(DHF group) and 42 DHF subjects with normal echocardiogram were chosen as control groups, the clinical data were retrospectively analyzed. Philips IE33 ultrasound diagnostic was used to measure left atrial anteroposterior diameter and transverse diameter, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), spectral Doppler measure the early peak of diastolic flow velocity (E peak) and late peak of diastolic flow velocity (A peak)of the mitral, then E peak/A peak ratio E peak/E′ peak ratio was calculated, E wave deceleration time (DT), the early peak of diastolic velocity (E′ peak) and late peak of diastolic velocity (A′ peak) of the mitral were measured by tissue Doppler imaging,and E peak/E′ peak ratio was calculated. Results The diameter of the left atrium and the left and right path DHF patients were higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(all P values<0.01). DHF patients, female patients after left atrial diameter and transverse diameter was significantly lower than that of males(all P values<0.01); In DHF group, E peak/A peak ratio was higher, peak A, DT, LVEF was lower than that of the control group. The differences were statistically significant (all P values<0.01); early diastolic flow velocity (E peak) of mitral peak in 2 groups showed no significant difference (all P values>0.05). Early diastolic mitral annular velocity E′ peak velocity of DHF group and late diastolic mitral annular velocity A′ peak speed were lower than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (all P values<0.01); E peak/E′ peak ratio of normal control group was less than 8, while E peak/E′ peak ratio of the DHF group was more than 8, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01). Conclusions Echocardiographic mitral spectrum and tissue Doppler mitral annular motion can assist the diagnosis of left ventricular DHF.
